Sedikit maklumat berkaitan dengan Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim, speaker pada majlis ini:-
He was formerly President & Chief Executive of Johor Corporation (JCorp), and had been CEO for more than 28 years (since January 1, 1982).
Over that period, with the combined effort of JCorp’s team of Group Entrepreneurs, (or Amanah entrepreneurs) JCorp has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading corporate entities with market leadership positions in several strategic businesses.
Tan Sri Muhammad Ali is also the Deputy President of the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce (MICC); Chairman, Corporate Bureau of MICC; and Chairman, Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad (previously known as Kumpulan Waqaf An-Nur Berhad). Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad is a company established under limited guarantee by JCorp.
Waqaf An-Nur was to entrusted with managing all of the PLC equity shares that had been transferred from JCorp on 3rd August, 2006. During this historical moment, JCorp had transferred RM200 million worth of quoted shares (on net asset value basis) to Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad. This was the first step in an incremental process of transforming JCorp into the world’s first “Waqaf Corporation”. JCorp’s Waqaf Corporation concept is a key institutional strategy towards making a success of its corporate mission of “Business Jihad”.
